Rare and Beautiful is a Tasmanian family run business, that creates an ever-changing collection of beautiful and desirable items of hand-crafted, contemporary jewellery and raw gemstones.

The collection is hand-selected by Christo and Melissa Lees, as they travel the globe, and across unique locations in Tasmania. They are both trained gemmologists, jewellers and gem cutters who live in Tasmania, Australia.

Their business The Rare and Beautiful has evolved from a passion for fossicking in the natural environment, that they have shared for the past 30 years. The collection is concentrated around gems, minerals and rocks, and their jewellery showcases a unique range of Tasmania's beautiful gemstones that are little known to the public, including Killiecrankie diamonds, sapphires, turquoise, black spinel, fossil man fern and wood, meteorite glass, jade, agate and jasper.
