The most desired of Tasmanian fossils , the fossil tree ferns of Lune River date to the Jurassic period . These unique rare fossil plants are replaced by colourful agate and Jasper . Commonly called petrified manfern  these fossil Ferns are some of the worlds most beautiful fossils . We have prospected for these Tasmanian fossils for the past 35 years mostly at Lune River in the far south of Tasmania, Australia.
