Our minerals and crystals from Burma , Sri Lanka and Vietnam were hand chosen from miners at their source, on our many trips to gem mining areas in these countries. As we are both Gemmologists we lean toward beautiful minerals and crystals and great examples of rare minerals in their crystal forms. 10 large spinel crystal specimens from Mogok Burma, octahedrons. Spinel is a rare gem. It is a magnesium aluminium mineral that comes in various colours. Spinel Crystallises in the cubic system with octahedrons and twinned Macles being the common crystal forms.
I love these little raw gems - stunning! Gorgeous color and wondrous octahedron shapes. I am surprised they are not more well known in the crystal world. I love their energy. The various items I have received from Rare and Beautiful so far live up to the store name.
