This fossil sea shell has been perfectly opalised it comes from Coober Pedy in South Australia. The fossil has been cut on one side showing the wonderful play of colour.the other side shows the original shell. This fossil pipi shell shows large flashes of colour from a wide spectrum red, blue , purple green yellow and orange.the stone has a crack across the face and is an awesome specimen or could be re cut into two awesome gems. 38 mm x 29 mm x .8 mm
